DTE Replacement Rebates
You may be eligible for a rebate when you upgrade or a new, high-efficiency central air conditioning unit. C & C Heating & Air Conditioning will come to your home with information about the different models that qualify for rebates.
After you select a model, we will
- Properly size your system for maximum efficiency and comfort.
- Remove your old equipment and install your new unit.
- Fill out and submit a rebate form for you online.
- Your rebate check will arrive by mail in six to eight weeks.
DTE Energy Rebate Exclusions
New construction and first-time installations are not eligible for this program. Air source heat pumps, ground source heat pumps, and ductless mini-split heat pumps are not eligible for rebates when replacing an existing air conditioner unit.

High Efficiency Furnace
Use Less and Save More. The higher the AFUE, the more efficient the furnace. Upgrade to one with an AFUE of at least 94 to qualify for a rebate and add years of energy savings.
- 94+ AFUE – $80 rebate
- 96+ AFUE – $325 rebate
- 98+ AFUE – $525 rebate
Must replace the existing system with a 94+, 96+ or 98+ AFUE natural gas furnace.
Rebates are available on a first come, first served basis and are contingent upon available program funding.
Not eligible if the furnace is part of a system with an Air Source Heat Pump or Ground Source (Geothermal) Heat Pump system.
- The applicant must be a residential account holder of SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company at the time of equipment installation.
- The application must be received within 90 days of equipment installation date or by December 31, 2023, whichever comes first.
- The equipment must be purchased and installed between January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2023.
